ASTM A213 TP316 Stainless Steel Pipe is a seamless austenitic stainless steel pipe that is often used in hot and corrosive conditions. This stainless steel type is well-known for its exceptional corrosion resistance, high strength, and weldability. The addition of molybdenum to the TP316 stainless steel composition improves its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, both of which are significant concerns in chloride-containing settings. Because of its high strength, TP316 stainless steel is ideal for high-pressure applications such as boilers and heat exchangers.

The seamless technique is used to create ASTM A213 TP316 stainless steel tube. A billet or round of steel is heated to a temperature at which a piercing tool can be used to make a hollow tube in the seamless process. After that, the tube is rolled and stretched to the proper size and thickness.
